Measuring the clamp fly screen
Step 1
Fully open the window and measure the width and height of the window opening in three different places, using the smallest measurement (the daylight opening size). For a wooden frame, measure the exact daylight opening in width and height. Measure the height directly in front of the outside of the aluminum strip. If a drip sill/drainage nose or a ventilation grille is installed, we recommend an inset screen.
Step 2
Choose the correct depth for the screen. To determine the correct depth, a clamping depth must be calculated. The clamping depth determines how far the screen may protrude beyond the window opening. It is important to take into account any protruding parts on your window. The total depth of the screen including the clamp is 11 mm (thickness of the screen) + the clamping depth.
There are a total of four options to choose from:
1. Standard (10 mm clamping depth, 21 mm total depth)
This is the standard option included. Choose this if there are no special protruding parts on your window, such as a roller shutter, screen, ventilation grille, or anything else that protrudes into the window opening.
2. Deep (17 mm clamping depth, 28 mm total depth)
If parts are mounted on the window that do not protrude further than 14 mm, then this option is possible.
3. Extra deep (23 mm clamping depth, 34 mm total depth)
If parts are mounted on the window that do not protrude further than 20 mm, then this option is possible.
4. Small (5 mm clamping depth, 16 mm total depth)
If something is placed in front of your window, such as a roller shutter, and the space between the roller shutter and your window frame is at least 16 mm, we recommend this option. Note: nothing can protrude on your window in this case.
